FrostForge is developing open, locally buildable solar cold-room systems for places where reliable grid power and conventional cold chains are out of reach.

Help farmers protect more of each harvest while enabling local entrepreneurs to own, operate, and maintain useful cold-storage infrastructure.

How We Build

Our approach combines insulated enclosures, efficient DC refrigeration, and thermal storage that carries cooling overnight without an expensive battery bank. Critical components are standardized; fabrication, installation, and repair are designed to happen locally.

Honest Development

We are building and validating the system step by step. Performance data, bills of materials, and field lessons will be documented as pilots progress—without overstating what has not yet been proven.

FrostForge serves cold-room operators, cooperatives, NGOs, builders, and public programs through component packages, practical build documentation, training, and deployment support.
